Stanley's Exterior Topcoat

Stanley's Topcoat an exterior/interior, white oil-base enamel created for use on wood, masonry, brick and plaster. This product provides a professional quality, high hide, mildew resistant alkyd finish with excellent stain removal. It is a fast drying, durable high gloss enamel that helps protect interior and exterior surfaces against repeated abrasion, rust and a variety of chemicals.


Where to use:
	Exceptional adhesion on previously painted or properly prepared and primed surfaces such as interior and exterior wood, drywall, plaster, masonry, metal, well-bonded wallpaper, brick, stucco, aluminum and cinder block.


Preparation:
	All surfaces should be clean and dry prior to painting.
	Remove all loose, peeling paint or stain.
	Powerwash all chalk, dirt and grease with mild detergent.
	Patch all holes and cracks with patching compound.
	Allow patched areas to dry and then sand smooth.
	Caulk joints and seams with an acrylic painter's caulk.
	Inset and fill nail heads with wood filler and sand smooth.
	Prime all bare surfaces.
Application:
	IMPORTANT! DO NOT THIN!
	All surfaces must be clean and dry.
	Stir Topcoat before and occasionally during application.
	Use product when temperature is above 50ºF.
	Spot prime all patched areas with a primer coat.
	Apply using a roller or natural bristle brush.
	Primer must be given a top coat within four weeks.
Dry time:
	Dries to the touch in four to six hours.
	Recoat between 12-24 hours.
	Additional dry time in cooler temperatures.
Clean up:
	Mineral spirits.

IMPORTANT! STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: DANGER! Rags, steel wool and waste soaked with Stanley's Primer may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded or stored. To avoid a spontaneous combustion fire, immediately after use, place rags, steel wool or waste in a sealed, water-filled, metal container. Do not store unused product inside the home. For disposal guidance, contact your household refuse collection service, fire department, county or provincial government environmental control agency.
